According to the SCNS, the 7.7-hectare facility, which includes tanks for storing petroleum products with a total capacity of 36,200 tons, was illegally transferred to private ownership back in 2004. This happened through collusion between government officials, with the property being sold at an undervalued price and without the mandatory bidding process.
As a result of investigative and operational measures, the oil depot has been returned to state ownership. The agency notes that work to identify and return illegally privatized industrial and social facilities is continuing.
