Imports of sweetened drinks into Kyrgyzstan fell by 13.8%

Kyrgyzstan reduced its imports of sweetened and carbonated drinks in early 2026, although imports from Russia increased.

According to data from the National Statistics Committee for January–February 2026, imports of beverages (including mineral and carbonated drinks containing sugar) amounted to 16.8 million litres — 13.8% less than a year ago. In monetary terms, the market has not changed significantly: $10.4 million compared to $10.39 million a year earlier.

By country:

  • Kazakhstan — 13.93 million litres worth $8.4 million;
  • Russia — 2.9 million litres worth $2 million;
  • Armenia — there were no beverage imports this year.

The main supplier is Kazakhstan, although imports from there fell by more than 19%. At the same time, supplies from Russia increased: the volume rose by 32%, and in monetary terms — by more than 70%. Imports from Armenia have ceased.
