07/01/2026, 14:29From 1 to 31 July 2026, a temporary procedure for the voluntary departure of foreign nationals and stateless persons who have breached immigration legislation will be introduced in Kyrgyzstan. This was announced by the Ministry of Labour.
The measure is in force pursuant to a presidential decree and a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers.
During this period, foreign nationals in the country who have exceeded their permitted period of stay, hold an expired visa or are undocumented will be able to leave Kyrgyzstan voluntarily without incurring administrative fines, and will also be able to apply for an exit visa without paying the state fee.
To do so, they must contact the regional offices of the Ministry of the Interior and then apply for an exit visa via the e-Visa portal, attaching the necessary documents.
However, this procedure does not apply to individuals with criminal cases, court rulings, tax arrears or other restrictions provided for by law.
The Ministry of Labour has emphasised that this measure does not provide for the legalisation of residence and is aimed solely at facilitating voluntary departure without sanctions. After 31 July, standard legal measures will be applied to offenders.
