07/01/2026, 12:15In Tashkent, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Finance, Ruslan Suynaliev, held a meeting with Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, Jamshid Kuchkarov.
The talks took place on 29–30 June as part of a meeting of the World Bank and IMF Constituency Group. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance.
The parties discussed the current state of financial and economic cooperation, the implementation of the memorandum of understanding between the two countries’ finance ministries, and the development of cooperation in the areas of public finance, budgetary policy and the exchange of expertise.
Particular attention was paid to issues relating to social security and the pension system, as well as coordination within international financial institutions.
Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to further strengthen their partnership and to step up the practical implementation of the agreements reached.
