07/01/2026, 13:41On 1 July 2026, Kyrgyzstan began accepting applications for the ‘Bala Yrysy’ monthly state allowance for children under the age of three. This was announced by Mirlanbek Baygonchokov, Deputy Minister of Labour.
According to him, between 700 and 1,000 applications were received within the first few hours of the system going live.
The allowance is set at 1,200 KGS per month for each child under the age of three, in accordance with the Law ‘On State Allowances’. Applications can be submitted via a mobile app or at the Ministry’s regional offices.
Payments will begin in August for those who submitted their applications in July. Funds can be received via “Eldik Bank” and “A Bank”.
According to the ministry’s estimates, the number of children under three years of age in the country ranges from 440,000 to 470,000, which corresponds to approximately 38 per cent of the child population.
