Labor inspectors helped Kyrgyz citizens recover more than 3.2 million KGS in unpaid wages

In the first three months of the year, labor inspectors helped Kyrgyz citizens recover more than 3.2 million KGS in unpaid wages. This was reported by the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of the Republic.

According to the ministry, the Labor Law Control and Supervision Service conducted 289 inspections during the first three months of the year. These inspections revealed 500 violations of labor laws, and employers were issued 105 orders to rectify them.

Inspectors focused primarily on the timely payment of wages, compliance with occupational safety regulations, and the formal registration of employment relationships.

In addition, 33 workplace accidents were investigated during the quarter. As a result of the identified violations, fines totaling 1,899,000 KGS were imposed.

The service also received 646 complaints from citizens. In addition, specialists provided 1,642 verbal consultations to employees and employers on labor law issues.

“Compared to the same period in 2025, the number of labor law violations and workplace accidents has decreased,” the Ministry of Labor notes.

The agency attributes this to increased preventive and educational efforts among employers and employees.
