Compared with the same period last year, the figure rose by 63.8 per cent. This was announced on 6 November during President Sadyr Zhaparov’s working visit to the Chui Region.
According to data presented to the Head of State, the district’s industrial output for the first nine months reached 16 billion 250 million KGS.
Among the major investment projects being implemented in the region, the following were highlighted: the ‘Silk Way’ shopping centre, with a declared investment of $20 million and the creation of 2,000 jobs; the ‘Changhong’ metallurgical plant – $18 million and 500 jobs; and the ‘Global Hub’ logistics centre — $35 million and 250 jobs.
The ‘Manas’ town project, with a declared investment volume of $4.2 billion, is presented separately. The official information does not specify what proportion of these funds has already been invested or at what stage the project is currently at.
In addition to investment activities, the development of social infrastructure continues in the region. Between 2024 and 2026, 41 facilities were built or extensively refurbished, including 15 schools, seven nurseries, 11 sports facilities and six healthcare centres.
At the same time, the authorities have identified additional needs in the district. The implementation of priority projects is estimated to require 2 billion KGS.
Specifically, this involves asphalting 35 kilometres of local roads, building and repairing community centres, and constructing two bridges and a sports hall in the village of Kara-Zhygach.
The list also includes the construction of sewage treatment plants and sewerage networks in five settlements: Kara-Zhygach, Mramornoe, Grozd, Vinogradnoe and Oktyabr.
Among the district’s challenges, the need to regulate quarrying operations has been specifically highlighted. One proposed solution is to grant the relevant areas the status of specially protected natural areas.
