08/17/2025, 15:00Due to high summer temperatures, the yield of grain crops has significantly decreased
According to the National Statistics Committee, as of 23 July, grain crops (excluding legumes, rice and buckwheat) were harvested from an area of 276,000 hectares, which is almost 23% more than on the same date last year.
At the same time, only 477,400 tonnes of grain were harvested in initial recorded weight, which is 22.7% less than on the same date last year.
As for crop yields, due to high temperatures during the growing season this summer, the average yield of wheat decreased by 34% and barley by 41%.
