Following a complaint, Tax Law Audit had its authorisation to audit large businesses revoked

Finnazor has removed the consultancy firm Tax Law Audit from the register of audit firms authorised to audit large businesses and public-interest entities. The regulator announced this on 13 October.

This relates to special authorisation to audit these categories of clients.

The decision to remove the firm was taken on 26 September, based on a ruling by the Commission for the Consideration of Administrative Complaints dated 3 September. The content of the complaint and the grounds for the firm’s removal are not disclosed in Finnazor’s statement.

According to the registration details on the regulator’s website, Tax Law Audit was granted this authorisation on 1 December 2023. It was issued for an indefinite period. The company itself was registered in Kyrgyzstan in 2010.

Among Tax Law Audit’s established clients is OJSC ‘Financial Company of Credit Unions’, which specialises in financing credit unions in Kyrgyzstan. The financial organisation’s website features financial statements for 2021 and 2022, listing Tax Law Audit as the auditing firm. For 2023, ‘Kyrgyzaudit’ acted as the auditor; however, in April 2024, the shareholders of the Credit Unions’ Financial Company once again selected Tax Law Audit to carry out the external audit.
