The Cabinet of Ministers, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the National Bank will be required to report to the Zhogorku Kenesh on combating fraud.

At a meeting of the Zhogorku Kenesh today, March 12, deputies reviewed and adopted a draft resolution of the Zhogorku Kenesh “On the implementation of the resolution of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic dated June 25, 2025, No. 3297-VII ”On measures to combat fraudulent crimes in the banking sector and the Internet."

The initiator of this resolution, Deputy Mederbek Aliyev, spoke about the purpose of the document and briefly touched on the instructions to law enforcement agencies. He stressed that the Cabinet of Ministers, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the National Bank are required to provide the Jogorku Kenesh with relevant information on a quarterly basis about the measures taken to combat Internet fraud. According to him, new schemes related to the banking sector are emerging, causing significant material damage to thousands of citizens.

“Under this resolution, the relevant state bodies were instructed to work to combat fraudulent crimes in the banking sector and on the Internet, and to conduct a systematic analysis in this area,” Mederbek Aliyev noted.

During the discussion, MP Altynbek Kychbaev noted the need to improve the relevant legislation in the field of combating droppers, emphasizing that young people and minors are often involved in such schemes. Deputy Elvira Surabaldieva raised the issue of the activities and resources of the cybersecurity department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Deputy Gulya Kozhokulova raised the issue of the security of the banking database. Deputy Zhyldyz Egemberdieva drew attention to the problem of the spread of slander and false information through fake accounts on the Internet.
