Bekeshev raised the issue of differences in teacher salary coefficients

At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, MP Dastan Bekeshev raised the issue of the coefficients used to calculate teachers' salaries.

According to him, a lower coefficient is applied when calculating the salaries of teachers who teach certain subjects, including history and geography. As a result, their salaries are lower than those of teachers of other subjects.

The deputy noted that regardless of the subject, the workload and complexity of the work of teachers are comparable. In this regard, he asked why a single coefficient is not applied to teachers.

According to the deputy, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic should provide explanations on the current procedure for calculating teachers' salaries.
