06/03/2025, 13:06The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a resolution on the payment of monthly cash compensation in lieu of benefits.
The document was developed to implement Presidential Decree No. 132 of 18 April 2025 «On the payment of monthly cash compensation to certain categories of citizens».
From 1 January 2025, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, participants in combat operations in other countries and persons who took part in the work to eliminate the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, as well as their families, will receive increased cash compensation in lieu of benefits. As a result, the amounts of monetary compensation will range from 1,500 KGS to 10,000 KGS, depending on the category of persons receiving the above payments.
The decree establishes the amounts of monthly monetary compensation in lieu of benefits for 23 categories of citizens. Regulations on the procedure for granting monthly monetary compensation have also been approved. The list of categories of citizens includes military personnel who performed tasks in accordance with international treaties and agreements on strengthening the protection of the CIS border on the Tajik-Afghan section from 1993 to 1999.
The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration has been instructed to pay monthly cash compensation in lieu of benefits from 1 January 2025 in accordance with the regulations on the procedure for granting monthly cash compensation in lieu of benefits approved by this resolution, and to take the necessary measures arising from the resolution.
The Ministry of Finance is instructed to ensure the timely financing of monthly cash compensation in the required amount from the republican budget.
The Ministry of Defence is instructed to clarify the information on persons entitled to receive monthly cash compensation.
The authorised representatives of the President in the regions, the mayors of the cities of Bishkek, Osh (as agreed) shall provide various types of additional social support to disabled citizens and low-income families from local budgets; provide social support to vulnerable groups of the population by providing cash compensation or housing subsidies, especially for the payment of natural gas and heat energy, from local budgets.
