The Cabinet of Ministers has reduced the cost of window tinting permits by 15–30% for one month

The Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers has temporarily reduced the cost of permits for tinting the side windows of a car’s front doors. The reduced rates took effect yesterday, June 15, and will remain in effect until July 15.

According to the Cabinet’s resolution, the fee for resident individuals has been reduced from 50,000 KGS to 35,000 KGS, and for legal entities—from 70,000 KGS to 55,000 KGS. Non-residents can obtain a tinting permit for 75,000 KGS, a reduction of 15,000 KGS.

The cost of the permit has changed as follows:

  • for individuals—the price has been reduced by 30%;
  • for legal entities—by 21.4%;
  • for non-residents—by 16.7%.

Individuals benefited the most from this temporary promotion, as the cost of legalizing window tinting for them decreased by nearly a third.

The reduced rate applies to passenger cars and off-road vehicles, but not to electric vehicles. Permits will be issued for a period of one year.
