The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the procedure for granting the ‘Bala Yrysy’ allowance

From 1 July 2026, Kyrgyzstan will begin paying the monthly ‘Bala Yrysy’ allowance to families with children under the age of three. The payment will amount to 1,200 KGS.

Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev has signed a resolution “On the procedure for granting the ‘Bala Yrysy’ monthly allowance”.

This new social support measure is being introduced as part of the implementation of a presidential decree and is aimed at supporting families with young children, promoting early childhood development and reducing child poverty.

According to the document, the monthly allowance of 1,200 KGS will begin to be paid from 1 July this year. The Ministry of Finance has been instructed to ensure the timely funding of payments from the national budget.

To administer the allowance, the authorities plan to make active use of digital technologies and inter-departmental data sharing. Information on the birth of children will be automatically transferred from healthcare facilities to social protection authorities via state information systems.

In addition, healthcare workers will inform parents of their entitlement to the allowance during home visits and when children are vaccinated.

The launch of the new ‘Bala Yrysy’ benefit was previously announced as part of the implementation of the state’s social policy. It is expected that the new payment will cover families with children under three years of age across the country, including residents of remote settlements.
