10/16/2025, 10:44The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has imposed a temporary ban on licensing educational activities for the training and retraining of vehicle drivers. The decree was signed by Deputy Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev.
The moratorium will be in effect from October 20, 2025, to December 31, 2027. It will not affect state educational institutions, nor will it restrict the procedures for reissuing, revoking, or issuing duplicates of existing licenses.
As explained by the government, the decision was made to improve the quality of driver training and bring order to the driving school sector.
Control over the implementation of the decree is entrusted to the Department for Control over the Implementation of Decisions of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers under the Presidential Administration.
The decree will come into force on October 20, 2025, after its official publication.
