How drivers are trained in Kyrgyzstan: online and offline driving schools

There are currently 45 offline driving schools and one online driving school operating across the country. This information has been provided by the State Enterprise for the Institute of Road Traffic Licensing.

The total number of students undergoing training in an offline format is 2,597. In Bishkek, for example, 280 students are being trained at 5 driving schools, and in Osh, 254 students are being trained at 2 driving schools.

Currently, 1,507 students are undergoing training online.

The teaching process is organised with the students’ convenience in mind: classes are held three times a week in several time slots:

  • morning session: from 09:00 to 11:00.
  • Afternoon session: from 14:00 to 16:00.
  • Evening session: from 18:00 to 20:00.

Training is delivered in both offline and online formats, allowing students to choose the most convenient way to study the theoretical part. Practical training takes place in stages — from sessions on specialised simulators to driving in real road conditions under the supervision of instructors.

Work to improve the quality of training, update the material and technical base, and enhance the qualifications of the teaching staff is ongoing.
