Kasymaliev has instructed that the modernisation of the Mailuu-Suu Light Bulb Factory and the Khaidarkan Mercury Complex be accelerated

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, has instructed that the modernisation of OJSC ‘Mailuu-Suu Lamp Factory’ and OJSC ‘Khaydarkhan Mercury Complex’ be accelerated. At a meeting on 18 September, the current state of the enterprises and their prospects for development were discussed.

With regard to the Mailuu-Suu Lamp Factory, the meeting reviewed the implementation of decisions taken in 2026. In particular, the discussion centred on the allocation of funds from the Presidential Fund, an increase in the authorised capital, and the implementation of the presidential decree ‘On the Revival of the Mailuu-Suu Electrical Engineering Plant’.

The meeting participants also discussed efforts to establish an industrial park on the site of the plant. Kasymaliev instructed that the modernisation of production be accelerated and the plant’s financial and economic position be strengthened.

The prospects for the Khaidarkan Mercury Complex were considered separately. The plant has reserves of mercury, antimony and fluorite. Measures to preserve the complex and restore its production capacity were discussed at the meeting.

State bodies have also been instructed to attract investors to the enterprises, ensure their effective operation and preserve jobs.
