Kasymaliev Concludes Visit to Kazakhstan: EAEU Integration and Digital Projects Discussed

Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev has concluded his working visit to Kazakhstan.

During the visit, he participated in the regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, held in both a restricted and an expanded format. Following discussions covering a wide range of areas of cooperation, 13 issues were addressed and a number of documents were signed.

The meetings were attended by the heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Union countries—Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia—as well as the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, representatives of observer countries, and the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

In his speech, Kasymaliev noted the growth in GDP and mutual trade among the union’s member states over the past five years, highlighting the effectiveness of the chosen integration strategy. He also drew attention to the need to strengthen coordination in the field of labor migration and proposed creating a permanent platform for consultations between relevant agencies.

Separately, the Prime Minister touched on logistics issues, pointing out the importance of digital solutions for increasing transparency and accelerating the delivery of goods.

During his trip, Kasymaliev also took part in the Digital Qazaqstan – 2026 international forum, where he toured an exhibition of digital projects and spoke at the plenary session. The forum’s topics included digital mining, cryptocurrency exchanges, cybersecurity, education, and innovation.

Following the meeting, a decision was made to hold the next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Kyrgyzstan in August of this year.
