Kazakhstan is the only EAEU country with which Kyrgyzstan has increased trade

According to the results for January–September, Kazakhstan became the only partner in the EAEU with which Kyrgyzstan increased mutual trade. This is evidenced by foreign trade statistics for the first nine months of this year.

Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover with Kazakhstan amounted to $1 billion 222.4 million. This is 17.3% more than in the same period of 2024 ($1 billion 41.8 million). This is the only positive result among all EAEU countries, as the rest recorded a decline:

  • Russia – down 13.4% to $2.5 billion;
  • Belarus – down 2.8% to $91.9 million;
  • Armenia – down 2.6% to $1.89 million.

The growth in trade with Kazakhstan is due to an increase in imports, +29.8%, to $912 million. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan's exports to Kazakhstan decreased by 8.4% and amounted to $310.3 million.

Kyrgyzstan's total foreign trade turnover with the EAEU countries continues to decline, amounting to $3.85 billion for the reporting period, which is 5.3% less than last year. At the same time, Russia accounts for almost 66% of Kyrgyzstan's total trade with the Union countries.
