Community cleanup days will be held in the capital for two months. On the first day, 178.58 tons of trash were collected

The first spring community cleanup took place in Bishkek as part of the previously announced two-month campaign for the beautification, sanitation, and greening of the city.

The event was attended by 3,552 organizations and more than 26,000 city residents. Forty-two pieces of specialized equipment were deployed to remove the trash, with which 178.58 tons of waste were collected.

During the community cleanup, a range of activities was carried out to improve the city’s sanitary conditions. Participants cleaned alleys, squares, and parks; whitewashed trees; carried out landscaping work; and cleared 16,841 linear meters of irrigation networks.
