03/15/2026, 13:24The first spring community cleanup took place in Bishkek as part of the previously announced two-month campaign for the beautification, sanitation, and greening of the city.
The event was attended by 3,552 organizations and more than 26,000 city residents. Forty-two pieces of specialized equipment were deployed to remove the trash, with which 178.58 tons of waste were collected.
During the community cleanup, a range of activities was carried out to improve the city’s sanitary conditions. Participants cleaned alleys, squares, and parks; whitewashed trees; carried out landscaping work; and cleared 16,841 linear meters of irrigation networks.
