Helen Clark met with the management of Kumtor Gold Company to discuss the most important issues related to increasing transparency in the production and financial activities of the company.

Almazbek Baryktabasov, President of Kumtor Gold Company, spoke in detail about the ongoing work and emphasised the importance of these processes in building trust and improving corporate transparency. He noted progress in strengthening reporting and monitoring of compliance with production, environmental and social standards.

Baryktabasov also highlighted specific steps taken to improve communications with government agencies and the community. For her part, Helen Clark, Chair of the EITI Board, expressed support for the company's initiatives and emphasised the importance of further cooperation to improve transparency in all aspects of operations.
