Cyberattacks have become a matter of national security — Dilek Saydan Batmaz

Today, cybersecurity issues must be discussed not only among IT specialists, but also by company boards of directors. This was stated by Dilek Saydan Batmaz, a member of the Executive Board of Gardiyan International Operations, at the Bishkek International Financial Forum (BIFF).

According to her, modern cyber threats no longer affect only individual organisations and government bodies, but also have a direct impact on national security.

Batmaz spoke about the activities of the international company Gardiyan Security Technologies, which specialises in the management and integration of security systems. The company was founded in Turkey seven years ago and currently operates in Ankara, Istanbul, New York and Paris. There are plans to open offices in Syria and Sweden in the near future.

She noted that effective protection is impossible without a full understanding of an organisation’s infrastructure. According to her, security begins with monitoring all assets, devices, networks and software. The next stage is management, which must be based primarily on risk assessment and mitigation.

The topic of cybersecurity has become one of the key themes at BIFF against the backdrop of a rise in cyberattacks and the digitalisation of business and public services.

Gardiyan Security Technologies specialises in solutions for system and cybersecurity. According to the company, it currently serves over 100 clients and manages an infrastructure covering more than a billion devices and users worldwide.
