06/03/2026, 14:25Kylim Bank OJSC has been included in the register of participants in Kyrgyzstan’s deposit protection scheme. The decision came into force on 29 May 2026.
The bank’s inclusion in the register means that its depositors are covered by the Law ‘On the Protection of Bank Deposits’ and can rely on the guarantees provided for by law.
To date, 25 banks and three microfinance companies are members of the deposit protection scheme.
In Kyrgyzstan (in accordance with the Law “On the Protection of Bank Deposits”), the compensation amount is up to 1 million KGS.
The deposit protection scheme is a mechanism that ensures the payment of a guaranteed amount to depositors in the event of a bank’s bankruptcy or the occurrence of another insured event. In Kyrgyzstan, such protection is provided by the Deposit Protection Agency.
