Kyrgyzkommerzbank will allocate nearly 7 million KGS for an audit despite its losses

At the annual general meeting on March 31, the shareholders of Kyrgyzkommerzbank approved external audit expenses in the amount of $79,000, which amounts to approximately 6.9 million KGS at the current exchange rate.

However, the bank ended 2025 with a loss. According to the meeting’s resolution, the negative financial result will not be covered immediately—it will be carried forward to future periods with a plan to repay it using profits over the next three years.

Despite this, shareholders approved the engagement of the international auditing firm Forvis Mazars, which will conduct an audit of the financial statements in accordance with NBKR and IFRS standards, as well as perform quarterly review audits.

The meeting was held with a high quorum, which allowed for the approval of the entire package of resolutions, including the update of the corporate governance code and the terms for raising funds from affiliated parties on market terms.

We note that, according to the financial statements, the bank’s loss amounted to 271.9 million KGS as of the end of 2025.
