Kyrgyzkumur exceeded its coal production target in 2025 and is expanding its infrastructure

In 2025, Kyrgyzkumur Open Joint Stock Company produced 1,373,800 tonnes of coal and carried out 9,648,500 m³ of rock excavation work, exceeding its production plan.

Full-scale coal mining operations are continuing under nine licences, including at the Suluktaala-11, Beshburkhan, Markay, Torugart-1 and Kozho-Kelen deposits, which were officially opened in the third and fourth quarters of last year.

To provide the population with fuel, 142 coal warehouses have been organised in cooperation with local authorities. Coal deliveries by rail to selected fuel depots in the Chui Valley and the city of Bishkek have also resumed, ensuring a stable supply of coal to the country's regions.

In addition, two new coal sorting complexes have been put into operation at the Kara-Keche deposit. They ensure the supply of high-quality lump coal and contribute to improving the ecological situation by reducing the negative impact of mining operations on the environment.
