Kyrgyz Oil Company has become the main supplier of fuel and lubricants for Kumtor

Kumtor Gold Company, a private company, and Kyrgyz Oil Company, a state-owned enterprise, signed an agreement under which KOC will be the main supplier of fuel and lubricants for the country's largest mining company.

Representatives of the Kyrgyz Oil Company visited the Balykchinsk transshipment base, where they familiarised themselves with the material and technical infrastructure for the storage and transportation of petroleum products.

According to a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated 1 July 2025, Kyrgyz Oil Company has been designated as the general supplier of fuels and lubricants and other petroleum products for state-owned enterprises and companies in which the state owns a 50% or greater stake, including their subsidiaries. This rule also applies to the mining industry.

Thus, the strategic cooperation between GNC and Kumtor Gold Company strengthens the role of the state-owned company as a key player in the petroleum products market and underscores the importance of state decisions in ensuring energy security and the sustainable operation of industry.
