Kyrgyzstan and the EAEU are developing digital tourism

A panel session entitled «The Digital Vector of Eurasian Tourism: Strategies for Integration and Growth» was held as part of the Russian-Kyrgyz Economic Forum.

Representatives of the EEC, relevant agencies of the Union countries, tourism associations, digital platforms, and airlines discussed the formation of a unified digital ecosystem in the industry.

Erdenet Kasymov, Director of the Tourism Department of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, noted that Kyrgyzstan seeks to strengthen its position as one of the leading tourist centers in Central Asia, focusing on infrastructure, digital services, environmental standards, and personnel training. Deputy Director of the EEC Department Lusine Bagratuni emphasized that tourism is a catalyst for economic growth, and digitalization is not a goal but a tool for improving the quality and accessibility of services.

Currently, the EEC website features about 400 attractions in the Eurasian space. There are plans to expand the database and launch new services, which will enable the EAEU countries to jointly create a competitive world-class tourism product.
