07/15/2025, 09:32A working meeting was held at the Presidential Administration between Dinara Kemelova, Special Representative of the President for the Implementation of the Five-Year Action Plan for the Development of Mountain Regions, and Volker Frobart, Cluster Coordinator for Climate, Water, and Energy in Central Asia at the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
During the meeting, the parties discussed current interaction and prospects for cooperation within the framework of the implementation of the five-year action plan for the development of mountain regions, including issues of sustainable development of mountain areas, strengthening adaptation capacity, and promoting the climate agenda.
They emphasized the importance of promoting cooperation in preparation for the Second Global Mountain Summit in 2027, international events on sustainable development of mountain regions, expanding regional cooperation in Central Asia to combat climate change, promoting green energy, and implementing projects to support mountain communities and protect ecosystems.
