The event, which was held in the usual online format, was part of a series of three meetings on the management, rehabilitation and socio-economic development of mountain areas, as well as international co-operation on these issues between Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Serbia.
The second round table of the cycle, which will address the most relevant for our country aspects of forest restoration and effective management of water resources in mountainous areas, as well as practical examples of European projects to combat land degradation and biodiversity conservation, will be held this Wednesday, 2 April 2025.
The organisers and partners of the event are the Environmental Public Foundation ‘TOLESFOR’ (Jalal-Abad), the International University of the Kyrgyz Republic, the International Mountain Institute, the Academy of Sustainable Development of the Union of Banks of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Institute of Technological and Environmental Management in Central Asia (Bishkek) and the consulting company AQ Solutions (Bishkek). On the European side, the initiative is implemented by Go Big Serbia and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vojvodina (Republic of Serbia).
