This involves a transition to a reciprocal visa-free regime for diplomats—previously, such trips required visas. Now, holders of diplomatic passports from Kyrgyzstan and Slovenia will be able to freely cross the borders of both countries without additional formalities.
The document, approved by the Jogorku Kenesh on March 12, 2026, establishes the right of diplomats to stay in the territory of the other country for up to 90 days within any 180-day period—without visas, invitations, or consular procedures.
The agreement was signed back in October 2025 in Ljubljana, but it is ratification that completes the legal process and initiates its practical application.
