Kyrgyzstan and Japan discussed issues related to increasing mutual trade and investment

President Sadyr Zhaparov's official visit to Japan has come to an end.

The president took part in the first Central Asia-Japan Dialogue summit.

In his speech, he emphasized that the summit reflects a shared desire to take the partnership between Central Asian countries and Japan to a whole new level.

The head of state confirmed that Kyrgyzstan supports Japan's proposal to focus joint work on three key areas: environmental friendliness and sustainability, communications, and human resource development.

He took part in the ceremony announcing bilateral documents following the Central Asia + Japan Dialogue business forum.

The event reviewed priority areas of cooperation, including sustainable development, the formation of a green economy, digitalisation, the development of the IT industry, as well as issues of human capital development and education.

On the same day, Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with the country's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.

They discussed issues related to deepening bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, increasing mutual trade and investment, developing partnerships in the field of sustainable and green energy, training and improving the qualifications of personnel, as well as expanding cooperation in the field of sports and tourism.
