Kyrgyzstan and Japan plan to eliminate double taxation of income

At a session of the Jogorku Kenesh today, 14 May, MPs considered and passed the draft law ‘On the ratification of the agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and Japan for the avoidance of double taxation with respect to taxes on income and the prevention of tax evasion and avoidance’ at its first reading.

The bill was signed on 19 December last year in Tokyo.

The initiator of the bill is the Prime Minister.

Information on the bill was presented by Iskender Asylkulov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade.

He noted that the aim of this draft law is to ratify the agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Japan for the avoidance of double taxation with respect to taxes on income and the prevention of tax evasion and avoidance.
