10/30/2025, 12:56At the second meeting of the Kyrgyz-Russian Working Group on Cooperation in Geology and Subsoil Use, held in Bishkek, an important item on the agenda was the prospects for cooperation with Rosgeo JSC, a leading Russian state-owned company in the field of geological exploration.
The Kyrgyz delegation was led by Marat Zhusupbekov, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Russian delegation was led by Aslambek Germakhanov, Deputy Head of Rosnedr.
The meeting took place in a constructive and businesslike atmosphere. The parties confirmed their mutual interest in expanding cooperation in the field of geological exploration, subsoil use and environmental protection, and discussed the progress of implementing the decisions taken at the first meeting of the working group.

Particular attention was paid to the approval of the Medium-Term Programme of Kyrgyz-Russian Cooperation in the Field of Geology and Subsurface Use for 2025-2027.
It was decided to hold the next meeting of the working group in 2026.
By that time, the parties intend to prepare a plan for the practical implementation of joint geological exploration projects and determine a list of priority deposits for detailed study.
