Kyrgyzstan is updating its customs training system

The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan is developing measures to improve professional training in the customs sector. The draft decree envisages modernization of the training system for customs specialists to meet modern requirements and international standards.

The need for changes is driven by both internal development objectives and the requirements of international agreements that emphasize the importance of qualified customs personnel in the context of digitalization and increasing complexity of international trade.

The proposed changes include the expansion of training units through the recruitment of teaching staff and veterinary specialists, as well as the use of part-time employment to attract qualified specialists. In addition, active training of business representatives and other stakeholders on new customs procedures and technologies is planned, which should facilitate effective Customs-business interaction.
