Kyrgyzstan remains a net recipient of investment in the Eurasian region

Kyrgyzstan is still underrepresented as an investor in the Eurasian region market. As of the first half of 2025, the country is participating in only one investment project with an investment volume of about $1 million, which indicates the limited presence of Kyrgyz capital abroad.

At the same time, the republic retains its status as an active recipient of regional investments. The volume of accumulated investments attracted from the countries of the Eurasian region reached $2.4 billion, demonstrating a 2.3-fold increase compared to 2016 and a 21% increase compared to 2023.

This dynamic reflects the investment asymmetry of the region, with Kyrgyzstan remaining primarily a recipient of capital. In the medium term, the key challenge remains the transition from dependence on external investment to the formation of its own investment potential.
