12/09/2025, 17:35Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev announced the transfer of exclusive rights to the World Nomad Games trademark to state ownership. The ceremony took place today and marked the relaunch of the national brand, which has grown into a global cultural platform over the past decade.
Kasymaliyev recalled that the Games have already been held three times in Kyrgyzstan — in 2014, 2016 and 2018 — attracting the attention of the international community. Later, the initiative was taken up by Turkey in 2022 and Kazakhstan in 2024. In 2026, Kyrgyzstan will once again host the VI World Nomad Games, and preparations for them are actively underway, according to the head of the Cabinet of Ministers. He also highlighted the contribution of project manager Askhat Akibayev, who effectively shaped the Games' brand and brought it to the world stage.
The transfer of rights to the state, according to the government's plan, will strengthen the legal basis of the project and allow for the development of long-term state policy in the field of ethnoculture and sports diplomacy.
‘The World Nomad Games are not just a competition, but a platform for peace and unity, a bridge between civilisations. Our task is to hold the 2026 Games at a level that meets international standards,’ Kasymaliyev said, adding that this decision will strengthen Kyrgyzstan's position on the world cultural map.
