This proposal was put forward by Vadim Yun, head of a Russian IT company and Honorary Consul of Kyrgyzstan, during the ‘Kyrgyzstan–Russia’ business dialogue at SPIEF 2026.
According to him, businesspeople from EAEU countries are currently subject to migration registration rules that limit the duration of their stay in Russia.
“An entrepreneur may have a business in both Kyrgyzstan and Russia, but when entering on a private visit, they face restrictions on their stay. As a result, a person who has not broken the law may lose the opportunity to work freely between the two countries,” the speaker noted.
In this regard, Yun proposed considering the possibility of lifting such restrictions for entrepreneurs or creating a separate status for businesspeople operating simultaneously in Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
In his view, the removal of administrative barriers will contribute to the development of mutual trade, investment and entrepreneurial activity between the two countries.
