Kyrgyzstan has been recognised as a leader in tax conditions for start-ups

The country achieved this result in the ‘Taxation’ category of the Innovators Business Environment Index 2026, compiled by the international platform StartupBlink.

Kyrgyzstan’s High-Tech Park received the Startup Ecosystem Awards 2026 in the ‘Best Taxation Environment for Innovators in Asia-Pacific’ category for this achievement. The award was presented on 23 September in Tashkent as part of ICT Week Uzbekistan.

Overall, in the Innovators Business Environment Index, Kyrgyzstan ranked 15th in the Asia-Pacific region and 84th in the world.

In Kyrgyzstan, export-oriented IT companies benefit from the High-Tech Park’s special tax regime. According to the HTP, its residents are companies operating in the international market.

The HTP believes that international recognition could boost interest among foreign entrepreneurs and investors in Kyrgyzstan’s technology sector.

This approach has enabled the creation of new sales channels for craftspeople and local tourism products. Albina Alimova, a beneficiary of the project to develop the tourism and craft sectors, spoke about this.
