From January to March, Uzbekistan exported 17,100 tonnes of carrots worth $3 million. More than half of this amount, 9,184 tonnes, was delivered to Kyrgyzstan.
Kazakhstan ranked second, purchasing 4,700 tonnes, followed by Russia with 3,041 tonnes. Sixty tonnes were delivered to Tajikistan and 99 tonnes to other countries.
It should be noted that there has been a recent increase in trade between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. The growth in exports of Kyrgyz potatoes and livestock to Uzbekistan is particularly noticeable.
