Kyrgyzstan has increased its exports of IT services to the US 45-fold in five years

Over the past five years, exports of IT services from Kyrgyzstan to the US have grown 45-fold. Whereas previously there were virtually no exports to this country, today the US market has become the largest destination for domestic IT companies. By the end of 2024, the volume of Kyrgyz IT service exports reached $130 million, of which almost 40% went to the US.

This growth is associated with the active development of the digital economy in the country and the implementation of initiatives under the slogan “Live in Kyrgyzstan — work with the whole world.” The adoption of the “Digital Code” has created favorable conditions for investment and the entry of domestic IT specialists into the international market.

President Sadyr Zhaparov noted at the Central Asia-US Summit in Washington that IT and the creative economy are becoming key drivers of cooperation with the United States. Kyrgyzstan also proposed the creation of a regional RegTech Trust Hub for the joint development of digital and financial technologies.
