Kyrgyzstan paid more than 11 billion KGS in interest on public debt. This is stated in the data on state budget expenditures for the first seven months of 2025.

Of this amount, 3.5 billion KGS were used to repay loans and credits received from foreign countries, and the remaining 8.16 billion KGS were used to service government securities.

Thus, it appears that the bulk of the amount was used to repay domestic debt.
