Kyrgyzstan ranked second in Central Asia in terms of passport ‘strength’

According to a new ranking of passports from Henley & Partners, Kyrgyzstan ranked 77th in the world in terms of the number of countries that can be visited without a visa or with simplified entry. The republic's passport allows unhindered travel to 63 countries, which puts us in second place among Central Asian countries.

The leader of the region is Kazakhstan, which ranks 64th in the global ranking: its citizens can visit 76 countries without a visa.

Uzbekistan (78th place in the world, 61 countries) is in third place among Central Asian countries, followed by Tajikistan (83rd place, 56 countries). The ‘weakest’ passport in the region is that of Turkmenistan, which ranked 88th with 49 countries for visa-free entry.

Interestingly, Kyrgyzstan shared its 77th place in the world ranking with Africa's Mozambique.
