05/01/2026, 15:35The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, has signed a decree imposing a moratorium on tuition fee increases.
According to the decree, educational institutions are prohibited from increasing the cost of fee-paying tuition for the 2026–2027 academic year.
The restriction applies to the entire sector:
In other words, fee increases are prohibited for all students studying on a fee-paying basis, regardless of the educational institution’s ownership status.
