People in Kyrgyzstan use cryptocurrencies for international money transfers

59.1 per cent of respondents to a survey of cryptocurrency users in Kyrgyzstan have used digital assets for international money transfers at least once. Of these, 14.6 per cent do so regularly.

A further 31.5 per cent of respondents have not yet used cryptocurrencies for international money transfers, but plan to try them.

These figures were provided by Binance following a survey conducted in Kyrgyzstan in August and September 2026. Over 250 people from various regions of the country took part.

International money transfers also proved to be the most sought-after practical use case for cryptocurrencies: 54.7 per cent of respondents cited them among the purposes for which they already use or would like to use digital assets.

At the same time, 52% of survey participants had used cryptocurrencies at least once to pay for goods or services.
