08/10/2026, 12:22Residents and visitors to Kyrgyzstan made greater use of hotel and restaurant services in the first half of 2026. Between January and June, the value of services provided reached 27.7 billion KGS, which is 10.3 per cent more than in the same period last year. These figures are provided by the National Statistical Committee.
Growth was recorded in virtually all regions of the country. The most significant increase in the volume of services was seen in the Issyk-Kul region – up 30.1 per cent – which may be linked to the start of the tourist season. High growth rates were also recorded in the Naryn (+18.2 per cent), Chui (+17.8%), the city of Osh (+15.1%), Talas (+14.1%) and Batken (+12.1%) regions.
As is traditional, Bishkek accounted for the largest volume of services – 17.3 billion KGS, which is 9.7% higher than last year’s level. The only region to record a decline was the Jalal-Abad region: the volume of hotel and restaurant services fell by 0.6 per cent compared with January–June 2025.
