08/25/2025, 16:52According to the National Statistical Committee, at the end of June 2025, the total amount of loans to economic entities registered with commercial banks whose licences have been revoked or which are in the process of liquidation amounted to 47 million KGS.
In other words, borrowers continue to service their debts even to banks that are effectively no longer operating. For comparison, the total volume of loans to economic entities from commercial banks amounted to 417.5 billion KGS, of which the majority is accounted for by operating financial institutions.
Most of the loans were issued to individuals (269.7 billion KGS), commercial organisations (129.1 billion KGS) and for financial leasing (9.3 billion KGS).
Lending continues to be predominantly in the national currency, amounting to 342.5 billion KGS, while 75.1 billion KGS were issued in foreign currency.
