08/25/2025, 16:39A meeting was held in Bishkek between the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Daniyar Amangeldiev, and a delegation from Tajikistan led by First Deputy Prime Minister Khokim Kholikzoda. The visit was organised as part of agreements reached at the highest level.
The parties discussed prospects for expanding economic partnership, cross-border cooperation and the implementation of joint infrastructure and energy projects. Amangeldiev emphasised the intention to increase the volume of mutual trade between the two countries to $500 million. Special attention was paid to energy cooperation, confirming the commitment to the implementation of the CASA-1000 project.
Kholikzoda noted Kyrgyzstan's progress in the tax, customs and digital spheres, emphasising the value of this experience for Tajikistan. During the visit, the Tajik delegation will visit a number of facilities in Bishkek and the Issyk-Kul region to familiarise themselves with the results of reforms and digital transformations.
