China and Central Asia exceed $100 billion in trade turnover for the first time

In 2025, trade turnover between China and Central Asian countries reached $106.3 billion, an increase of 12% year-on-year. This marks the first time that the $100 billion threshold has been exceeded. This was reported by the Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, citing official statistics.

Trade turnover between China and Kyrgyzstan showed particularly noticeable dynamics. At the end of last year, it amounted to $27.2 billion. This is 20% more than a year earlier and set a new historical record for our countries.

The growth rate was the highest among all Central Asian countries.

A sharp increase in imports from Kyrgyzstan is noted separately — by 86% on an annualized basis. Against this backdrop, the trade balance between the two countries continues to improve.
