Climate investment: Kyrgyzstan signs memorandum in London

During a working trip to London, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Mederbek Tumanov took part in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Climate Finance Centre under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Valor Carbon Limited.

The document aims to develop the carbon market, structure climate projects and attract private investment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Following the visit, the parties confirmed their readiness to deepen investment and financial cooperation, as well as to expand access for Kyrgyz projects to international climate finance mechanisms.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed support for investment projects and the entry of Kyrgyz companies into international markets. Following the meetings, mutual interest in developing practical cooperation and working out mechanisms for further interaction was confirmed.
