08/27/2026, 09:14The total volume of dollar transactions on the interbank foreign exchange market on 26 August amounted to $6.2 million, according to data from the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan.
Of this amount, $4.6 million was accounted for by transactions settled on the same day they were concluded, whilst a further $1.6 million was accounted for by transactions settled on a different date. At the trading rate, the total volume of currency purchased amounted to approximately 542.2 million KGS.
Compared with 25 August, the volume of transactions fell by $3.1 million, or 33.3 per cent. Over the two days, participants in the interbank market purchased a total of $15.5 million.
The dollar exchange rate remained unchanged at the opening and closing of trading, standing at 87.45 KGS.
